  • For Gaza II – A Massive Success!

Last night looks to have been a massively succesful night for the For Gaza event at Urban Guild. I couldn’t stay for all the acts unfortunately, but I did manage to catch the fantastic klezmer band Inouratomoe:

…and equally awesome folk-rockers The Pumpkins:

You can see more pictures of the night up on flickr.

    Sean writes:

…a great show put on by the performers this time. A shame you missed Armelle Dousset’s performance. She’s a really fantastic French dancer. Check the Urbanguild schedule in November. She’s performing a few times before going back to France in December.  I think we had 112 people + 25 performers so I guess around 140 total – pretty close to capacity. Thanks for your support. It’s certainly having an impact.

The next JunKroom event is on 18th December. It’ll be our 2nd birthday event – so lots of artists and reduced entrance. I’ll send you details in the next week or two. Gotta rush- have to prepare for tomorrow’s performance with Bridget Scott.

Speaking of which, here’s a reminder:

PATTERNS: a butoh performance with dancers, Bridget Scott and Jeannie Donald-McKim and experimental musician, Sseeaann Rrooee.
    When: Sunday 8th November
    Doors open: 2:30 Starts: 3:00
Where: Space ALS-D More details here.

  1. I saw you filming down there in the corner! Clarinet played like a guitar. So good!

  2. Yeah, the Black Sabbath number was incredible!
