Avenue Q is a parody of Sesame Street. It tells the tale of a 22 year-old just out of college, who moves to New York and learns some of the realities of life: unemployment, racism, homelessness, tales of the heart, (the Internet is for porn), etc. Perhaps some stuff university students might be interested in. (There are adult themes which are not suitable for kids.)
(For you sensei types, I will be creating lesson plans for both pre-viewing and post-viewing of the musical. These will be available at the website above before the new year. The show program will also include a Japanese guide to the characters and scenes.)
