Here are a couple of jolly videos from Choro Canário’s show at Sons last week followed by news of their upcoming events. There is a possibility that they might also be able to play at our Tohoku fundraiser/sale at Demachiyanagi this weekend. In both the following videos Ryoichi Katoh (on bandolim) and Shinya Setono (on the seven stringed classical guitar) are accompanied by Aki-Chang on the cavaquinho. It always gets jollier when he joins in!
I have also posted two more videos on youtube of Ryoichi and Shinya playing something Russian, and something jazzy that you might just recognize.
Choro Canário will play a show at Hi-Fi Cafe on Saturday the 5th of May from 3:00 till 5:00 pm (entry 1,000 yen / view map here).
They also play a regular monthly event at Cafe Barbatica and Sons Music Bar on the last Thursday of the month.

Sons is situated on the east side of Gokomachi on the ground floor of the Gokomachi Building (御幸町ビル） just south of Marutamachi. It is open 12:00-23:00 Monday – Saturday, and from 19:30 most Sundays.
