Demonstrations on 1st June against Israel in Kobe and Osaka

June 1, 2010 By Leave a Comment

So – you have undoubtedly seen this news of Israel’s attack on the aid flotilla heading for Gaza. The people on board these ships were civilians in international waters and more than ten of them are now dead. Source: aljazeera.net

Some articles to ponder:
A Guardian article on the blockade that the aid flottilla was trying to break: “70% of Gazans live on less than a dollar a day, 75% rely on food aid and 60% have no daily access to water.”
Live coverage from the Guardian.
Perspective: “Peculiar how Israel is always violently attacked but it’s only the ‘attackers’ who die”
Emergency protests worldwide.
