Here are two upcoming events at Urbanguild that particularly tickle my fancy.

ryotaro

nasuno mitsuru
yung tsubotaj
& special guest shigeki fujii (drums)

OPEN 18:30 / START 19:30

This will be local band “elements” final show together, although max, ryotaro, and percussionist Yun-han will still be playing together and are planning to record this summer. Check this post for videos of elements in their “raw” incarnation.

Tuesday May 4th

The second “Outsider’s Record Fair” presented by Jun Kroom Records and Urbanguild.

The Fair will start at 11.00am and run till 7.30pm. Entrance to the fair is free until 7.30pm

From 8.00pm the record fair will combine with the event JunKroom Vol 15. There will then be a charge of 1500yen (includes one drink ticket).
Some sellers will continue selling goods in the evening during the concert.

This is going to be a fantastic night of performance, video and music!

Please check the links below of all the artists appearing at this event.

The Live event will feature the following artists
Tim Olive
Nick Hoffman
Takahiro Kawaguchi
Porta Chiusa
AUJIK (Stefan Larsson)

Directions: To get to Urbanguild from Sanjo Dori, go down Kiyamachi Dori (This is the narrow street running alongside the Takase stream). Urbanguild is on the east side (the left hand side as you walk down from Sanjo) about 150 metres. It’s on the 3rd floor of the New Kyoto Building – access by elevator or stairs. Here is a map.
