A lot of people seem to be under the impression that they can’t read our new ebook (DEEP KYOTO: WALKS!!!) because they don’t have a Kindle Reader. Just to be clear, you don’t need a Kindle Reader to read a Kindle ebook. You can read Kindle ebooks on your computer, tablet, smartphone, etc… Just download the appropriate free app here: FREE Kindle Reading App.
Not only will this enable you to buy, download and enjoy our splendid new book (DEEP KYOTO: WALKS!!!) but it will also open the doors to a wonderful world of FREE ebooks. There are a LOT of old books on Amazon that are in the Public Domain and therefore completely free as ebooks. Try these Japan-related titles for example:
Actually that last book has nothing to do with Japan, but I rather enjoyed it and I was reading it when I wrote parts of our ebook (DEEP KYOTO: WALKS!!!) so there is a kind of connection. Fans of True Detective may also be pleased…
Anyway, there’s lots of stuff just begging to be read for free on Amazon. And don’t get me started on how much free stuff there is on the Project Gutenberg site.
I say all this of course in the hope that you’ll consider buying our new ebook (DEEP KYOTO: WALKS!!!) because it is rather good, and if you have ever found this site at all useful, well now is your chance to show your support.
Still not convinced? Next week, I will begin a series of excerpts from the walks by our fantastic writers…
Have a great weekend!

Hmm, I wonder what conversation prompted this post. 🙂 Still not a fan of e-books but I am loving curling up in my (thankfully) air-conditioned house this weekend with the Deep Kyoto Walks “book”. It’s made me seriously itch to come back up to the city again sooner than planned!
Ha ha! No it was a lot of conversations actually Mandy, and I had been planning to post this for a while. Thank you for the kind words on our book. I’m very glad you are enjoying it!
