IDRO JAPAN’S LAST SEPTEMBER SALE – EVERYTHING MUST GO!!!

September 12, 2011 By Michael Lambe Leave a Comment

A big THANK YOU to all those who helped out last Saturday. Especially, Michael Chan and Mika Fukumitsu for handing out fliers in the blazing heat, and also to the mystery triathlete who slipped 10,000 in the donations box when I wasn’t looking! Our final takings were 28,900 yen, an improvement on the previous week’s 9,300, but obviously we hope to make much more than that. This weekend’s final sale is the BIG ONE. EVERYTHING MUST GO!! We will be open longer hours, 9am till 6pm and we will be selling everything at rock-bottom prices. Please do come along, pick up some bargains and help contribute to a very important cause. People in Tohoku still need our help!

We have a fantastic book selection: lots of fiction, poetry, history, biography, travel, photography, art books, languages, spirituality, philosophy, sociology, science, homecrafts…

Just a smidgen of a hint of the books we have on offer at our sale.

We also have a lot of records (see below) and (unpictured) many, many fine CDs.

Not to mention clothes, crockery, electrical goods, toys… You never know what you might pick up!

Come along and check it out!

DATE & TIME: Saturday 17th September from 9 till 6pm.

LOCATION: The Kurochiku building is on the north-west corner of Shinmachi and Rokkaku streets, three streets west of Karasuma and one street south of Sanjo. Here is a map. All money goes to the local NPO IDRO Japan to support the people in Tohoku. Mewby & I hope to see you there!

Many thanks to Kyoto company Kurochiku for letting us use this space.
