International Love Cabaret V. 5

January 8, 2010 By Leave a Comment

It’s time again to let down your borders and share in the love!

Photograph courtesy of Mitsu Salmon.
Mitsu Salmon wrote to say that the next (and eagerly awaited) installment of her ongoing magical, musical, dance-tastic extravaganza, International Love Cabaret, will be held at Urbanguild on Sunday January 17th.

In  her own words I.L.C. is…

…an evening of experimental performance works with artists from various countries and disciplines. The series started in New York last Spring and since then has continued in Berlin and Kyoto. The series was started by Mitsu Salmon who grew up in Los Angeles, but then moved to New York to study experimental theater. She has since lived in Germany, India, England and now Japan. She seeks to use her international expertise to present artists from all around the world. On Sunday January 17th we will present four different acts all about 30 minutes each.

Here’s the lineup:

Sanae Kuroko (Japan)
Dance
A beautiful dancer who studied release technique in NY. There are some pictures of her in performance here and here.

Mitsu Salmon (US) & ryotaro (Japan)
Music, dance and electric accordion.
Mitsu says “I am doing a piece about a magical sushi restaurant, which I premiered in NYC!!”

Mio Chareteau (Switzerland)

JET PEPPER TOWER (Japan)
