It’s time again to let down your borders and share in the love!
In her own words I.L.C. is…
…an evening of experimental performance works with artists from various countries and disciplines. The series started in New York last Spring and since then has continued in Berlin and Kyoto. The series was started by Mitsu Salmon who grew up in Los Angeles, but then moved to New York to study experimental theater. She has since lived in Germany, India, England and now Japan. She seeks to use her international expertise to present artists from all around the world. On Sunday January 17th we will present four different acts all about 30 minutes each.
Here’s the lineup:
Sanae Kuroko (Japan)
Dance
A beautiful dancer who studied release technique in NY. There are some pictures of her in performance here and here.
Mitsu Salmon (US) & ryotaro (Japan)
Music, dance and electric accordion.
Mitsu says “I am doing a piece about a magical sushi restaurant, which I premiered in NYC!!”
Mio Chareteau (Switzerland)
Dance and performance
A dancer and performer who is doing an exchange at the School for Art and Design
JET PEPPER TOWER (Japan)
Rock music – The kind of rock music you can dance and scream with.

To find Urbanguild go down Kiyamachi Dori from Sanjo for approximately 150 meters. Urbanguild is on the east side, on the 3rd floor of New Kyoto Building. Access is by elevator or the stairs. Here is a map.
