Neon Soundcollage Special

Here’s a plug for some friends of mine.
On every second Tuesday of the month they have this soul music dj event at Collage, and they call it Neon Soundcollage. It’s been going on for about 15 years I think. Apparently back in the day, Taisho (the master of my regular bar Joao) used to be the Neon dj. These days it’s Joao regular Yamada-san who does it. Anyway, they’ve got this special event coming up next week with THREE guest djs, (including our pal Noda-kun) and some live music too. And it’s on a Friday, not a Tuesday. So I’m actually going to go for a change. The live performer will be Kyoto dwelling singer/songwriter Okuda Satoko, who usually performs as one half of Viva Sherry but on this occasion will have backing band brilliant soul garden. She’s not bad. In fact I have a few old videos of her up here, and here and here.
