Patterns: A Butoh Dance Performance

October 29, 2009 By Leave a Comment

Bridget Scott writes:

I know it is short notice, but I want to let you know about my performance on Sun 8th November in Kyoto. I will be performing with an old friend, Jeannie Donald-McKim, who I introduced to Butoh nearly 20 years ago. Jeannie returned to England and studied Dance Movement Therapy and set up Oxford based Butoh group, Cafe Reason. She is having a nostalgic short trip back to Kyoto with her young family. It is 15 years since we performed together so we are both excited to have this opportunity to share the same stage.

We will each be performing a solo piece plus a collaboration with Sseeaann Rrooee*, an experimental musician and organiser of Kyoto’s JunKroom.
