Following on from yesterday’s overview on craft beer in Kyoto here’s another timely post on our favorite brews! There are two upcoming events for craft beer fanciers at Tadg’s this month. This Saturday Tadg’s will host the Isekadoya Seasonal Beer Party and on Friday October 18th it will hold a release party for Mark Meli’s magnum opus: Craft Beer in Japan: The Essential Guide. Saturday October 12th from 6pm:

Tadg says, “With food pairing Beer will be ¥500 for 250ml, food will be ¥500 a sample plate. Kick off will be from 6pm ( to give everyone a chance to get here) 8pm we have an incredible Irish Band O’Phan from Tokyo, this band is highly recommended by Hans Araki, Dale Russ, Jay Gregg to mention a few. This promises to be one Kickass party night!”
Friday October 18th from 8pm:
Release party for Mark Meli’s guide to Japanese craft beer. 5 or more craft beers from the guide’s favorite breweries will be available for ¥500 per half pint, along with a special free buffet from Tadg. Buy a copy of the guidebook, get it signed by the author, and get a free half pint!
Remember that Tadg’s has a new happy hour from 6-8 on weekdays. ¥200 off pints of beer and special deals on great food as well.
