Sarasa Pausa

November 21, 2008 By Leave a Comment

Sarasa Pausa is a very cute cafe and eatery on Fuyacho Dori and one of a chain of Sarasas in Kyoto I have yet to investigate. Their lunchtime menu changes with the seasons but is quite limited being mainly pasta and sandwich type things and pretty meaty too. Vegans may have to eat elsewhere and come here for drinks. For me, they managed to rustle up a salmon sandwich that wasn’t on the menu… Having said all that the evening menu does look to be more varied. The cafe itself has the feel of an old French artist’s atelier, and is littered with manga comics, boardgames, magazines and antiques – anything that might inspire!
Opening hours: 12:00〜24:00
Lunch: 12:00〜15:00
Tea-time: 15:00〜18:00
Dinner: 18:00〜24:00
Last Orders Please! 23:00
Closed on the last Wednesday of each month.
Telephone: 075-2122341

Sarasa Pausa is on the west side of Fuyacho Dori just a little bit north of Sanjo. Here is a most convenient map (that I stole off their website):
