Viva Sherry are a local band consisting of the duo Satoko Okuda (vocals & keyboards) and Himeko Furuya (drums, xylophone, backing vocals). They have kind of a cult following in Kyoto, I think. On Sunday, I was fortunate enough to get free tickets to see them play at the Kaburenjo theater on Pontocho (thanks Riki!). They were playing there to accompany a display of kimonos. I managed to film a song without any distracting models though.
